Do
Roman Shades provide any insulation value?
Yes. Our Roman
Shades provide a degree of insulation. Thicker fabrics will
insulate better than sheerer fabrics.
Liners also add to the insulation value. There are, however,
no specific R-factors for Roman Shades.
How
do I clean my Roman Shades?
Use your vacuum
cleaner's brush attachment and gently go over the shade. Doing
this at least once a month will prevent dust accumulation. We
recommend using professional cleaners to remove stains and mold.
What
is the difference between standard lining and blackout lining?
Standard lining
filters light, while blackout lining blocks out light. Both
liners help protect fabrics from wear and tear caused by the
sun . They also add insulation. Standard lining is free of charge.
A 10% surcharge is added for blackout lining. Please note
that blackout lining is heavier and more substantial than standard
lining.
How
is the lining attached on Roman Shades?
It is sewn in.
What
material is the lining made out of?
The
standard lining is made of 70% Polyester and 30% Cotton.
What
is the production time on Roman Shades?
Currently, about
5 to 6 work days.
How
do I clean my Soft Louver Shades?
Our Soft Louver
Shades are 100% polyester and are treated to resist dust,
dirt, and stains. For regular cleaning, you may use a hair dryer
on cold setting or compressed air to clean the sheers and between
the vanes. If soiling occurs, spot clean with lukewarm water
and a mild detergent. Arabesque shadings may also be ultrasonically
cleaned by a professional.
How
do I clean my Soft Sheer Verticals?
To ensure lasting
beauty of your Soft Sheer Verticals, we have developed this
product with only the finest materials, materials which are
designed for safe washing.
All Soft Sheer Verticals' are constructed of durable and dimensionally
stable 100% polyester yarn which is naturally hydrophilic,
or water loving. These yarns are then weaved and heat-set twice
by the mill so that no amount of washing can make them stretch
or shrink. Finally, the fabric is treated to repel deep soiling,
and with periodic washing, surface dirt can be easily removed.
To wash your Soft Sheer Verticals, follow these simple steps:
Step One- Remove the sheer
carefully by detaching vertical vanes from track system. All
vertical vanes should then be re-attached, without the fabric,
to the track system to maintain privacy, and for ease of re-installation.
Step Two- Place the sheer
in washing machine and set it on gentle cycle. Using warm water
and regular laundry detergent, wash the sheer.
Step Three- Immediately
following the spin cycle, remove the sheer while it is still
damp and re-install sheer to the track system. The sheer will
finish drying while hanging.
Note: Please refer to the section on "How to Install"
for additional information on installation procedures.
Do's and Don'ts
Do Not machine
dry polyester fabrics! When heated metal touches polyester,
permanent wrinkles can form.
Do Not
press polyester with
an iron! Again, hot metal can form permanent wrinkles.
Do
steam polyester! Steam will help remove any wrinkles left over
from washing.
