(Optional: 3/32 drill bit may be needed for pre-drilling holes. This is used for mounting into wood that may have a chance of cracking. Pre-drilling holes may be desired for regular installs to help start pilot the screw.)
STEP ONE Mount brackets for headrail 3" to 5" from where each end of headrail will be. Center brackets should not be spaced more than 3' to 4' apart. The proper height for top of bracket is at the point where original ordering measurements where made. If in doubt, add ½" to the blind length to allow for clearance above floor or ¼" for clearance above sill, as appropriate. Otherwise blind length should extend 3" bellow sill.
STEP TWO Install track by rotating track into clip until it snaps in place.
STEP THREE Install vanes. Pull cord so vane carriers extend across entire width of track. Rotate carriers with tilt control so they are 90 degrees perpendicular to the window. Attach vanes by pushing up until hole snaps into place. Make sure all vanes are facing the same direction. If vanes need to be removed slip credit card up inside carrier along side vane on side of carrier with hook. Gently pull vane down.
STEP FOUR Install valance. Snap valance clips onto top of track 3" from each end. Space remaining clips evenly across track. Slide top of valance into top of clips. Valance includes 6" corner returns, which slide into corner pieces, attached to valance. Returns may be trimmed with tin snips. The material within returns should be removed first and trimmed with scissors if required.
