OUTSIDE MOUNT
A. Determine the desired location of the shade on the surface to which it will be attached.
B. Locate the top screw hole for each mounting bracket by measuring 1½" down from the top of the shade. Mount the two end bracket about 3½" in from each end of the shade. Drive one screw through the top hole in each bracket, making sure the brackets are level with each other. Additional bracket/s, if any, should be spaced evenly between them, approximately 30" to 40" apart, following the same procedure as above. Drive a second mounting screw through the lower hole in each bracket as needed.
C. Place the headrail on top of the brackets. Make sure no lift-cords are caught between headrail and brackets. Drive one headrail screw through each bracket after punching through the fabric to avoid snags (be sure each hole is completely clear of any thread that might be caught up by a turning screw.
D. Install the cord cleat in any convenient location. Wrap the cord around the cleat to secure the shade in a raised position.
