(Optional: 3/32 drill bit may be needed for pre-drilling holes. This is used for mounting into wood that may have a chance of cracking. Pre-drilling holes may be desired for regular installs to help start pilot the screw.)
HOW TO ASSEMBLE CORNICEThe wall brackets are mounted to the cornice dust cover andthen attached to the wall. To attach the brackets - mark bracket hole location on the dust cover 5" in from each end. Space any additional brackets required evenly between the two end brackets so that the brackets are no further than 12" apart. The back of the bracket should be flush with dust cover. Drill holes in a 3/16 " diameter through dust cover at each bracket location. Attach brackets to dust cover at each location with provided screws.HOW TO INSTALL CORNICEHold cornice in desired position and mark at slots in brackets. Use hollow wall anchors if wall studs cannot be found. Insert screws at these marks letting the heads protrude approximately 1/8 ". Slide slots in brackets over screw heads as shown.
>Wall brackets. Enough brackets are provided so that they can be mounted no more than 12" apart.>One black colored mounting screw for each bracket. The supplied screw is suitable for wood or sheet metal surfaces. Wall anchors or plugs (not supplied) are recommended for plaster or drywall.>Two silver colored wood screws for each bracket. Wood screws are used to attach the cornice to the brackets.
